AURANGABAD

Private guided tour of Aurangabad to discover its rich cultural heritage.

Rs4000/person onwards
Private car 6 Hours Guided tour

Carved out of a hill from the top downwards!

A private guided tour to Ellora Caves to marvel at remarkable sculptures which are also a world heritage site. The highlight of Ellora is the Kailasa Temple. Built to resemble Mount Kailash, the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva, it is the largest single monolithic excavation in the world. Built in the 8th century, Kaliasa is twice the size of Parthenon and was built by 7,000 laborers over 150 years.

Taj Mahal of the Deccan

Bibi ka Maqbara was built by Mughal Emperor in memory of his wife, very much like what his father Shah Jahan did with Taj Mahal! Bibi ka Maqbara is often called the Taj Mahal of the Deccan. Ata Ullah the architect of Bibi ka Maqbara was in fact the son of the chief designer of the Taj Mahal!

Daulatabad Fort

This magnificent fort is steeped in history. In the 14th century, Muhammad Bin Tughlaq, the Sultan of Delhi and the most eccentric King in Indian history, shifted his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad, with disastrous consequences. There are remains of Palaces & Mosques to be seen on the top.

Water Mill

The Panchakki is a fine example of medieval Indian engineering. The watermill has an elaborate underground channel which was ngeniously designed to use the energy generated by the flowing water from a nearby spring to turn the large grinding stones of the flour mill. The grains were supplied to pilgrims, holy men and soldiers.
