Marvels of Bahmani Kingdom
In this 2 day Bidar tour from Hyderabad, we will time travel to 11th century when Bidar was a flourishing Kingdom. Appreciate this architectural marvels of Bidar Fort & Bahmani Tombs in the company of a knowledgeable guide, while staying in a unique wildlife camp. Indulge in a safari to spot the famous Black Buck and visit the magnificent Gurudwara Nanak Jhira graced by Guru Nanak himself.
Bidar Fort
Bidar fort is one of the finest built Forts of Medieval India. There is a considerable influence of Persian architecture style in its construction. It is an imposing structure characterized by bastions, barbicans and huge gates surrounded on all sides by a triple moat which serves as the preliminary defense.
Bahmani Tombs
The 12 tombs of Bahmani Sultans is our next destination. They are huge structures with beautiful arches, niches and lofty domes. We will explore tombs with beautiful walls inscribed with Quran verses written in gold color.
Blackbuck Safari
Safari is planned on the morning of Day 2. The grasslands of Bidar are home to a healthy population of Blackbucks. Peacocks are also aplenty here. Black-naped hare, Wild boars and porcupines are also found in this region. The common langurs and birds like sandgrouse, doves, robins, red-vented bulbuls, treepies and kites can be spotted in the resort. Cormorants, Kingfishers, egrets and spot-billed ducks are regular visitors to the lake.
Chaukhandi of Hazrat Khalil Ullah
We visit another architectural marvel today. Chaukhandi of Hazrat Khalil Ullah is a tomb built in honour of the renowned Hazrat Khalil Ullah. He was the spiritual adviser of Sultan Ahmed Shah.
Nank Jhira Gurudwara
The Nanak Jhira Gurudwara is dedicated to the Sikh Guru Nanak. He had visited Bidar during his travel and preached about love and universal brotherhood. We will also visit a Sikh museum which houses important historical events in the history of Sikhism in the form of paintings and pictures.
Jungle Lodge
Stay is planned in Blackbuck resort of Jungle Lodges. It is nestled cozily next to the Vilaspur Lake, close to the Honnikeri Reserve Forest where Blackbucks roam free.
