Trip Itinerary
Visit Adalaj step well, Sabarmati Ashram, Hutheesing jain temple & Siddhi Sayid mosque
We start the Ahmedabad city tour at a step well built in 1555 which is an incredible feat of engineering. It was built by the Queen of Rana Veer Singh. There is a tragic story of the Queen associated with this well. She deftly got the well-constructed even after her husband was defeated in battle by the Sultan of Gujarat, Mohammad Begda.
We visit the home of Mahatma Gandhi, where he led the legendary Salt March of 1930. Built in 1917 along the banks of the Sabarmati River, Gandhiji lived here for 12 years. Learn about India’s Freedom movement and the non-violence philosophy by walking through these corridors. His living quarters and household artifacts all tell a story!
