Explore the 800 year old World heritage site at Somnathpur and Talakadu, a town with 5 spectacular temples excavated from the sand. At Somnathpur, the highlight is the 13th century temple of Chennakesava built in soapstone and on a star shaped pedestal. It features exquisite sculptures of dancers with their noses cut, mysteriously.

Somnathpur is famous for the magnificent Chennakesava temple and is a UNESCO world heritage site. This temple was built in 1268 by Somanatha, a general of King Narasimha III. We will explore the three shrines and three wonderfully carved peaks with a common Mandapa. Time is well spent at Somnathpur temple appreciating the 16 different ceilings, each depicting a different stage of a blooming banana flower, the central wall space adorned with images of deities with jewelry, bangles, crowns and anklets.

				Interesting and beautiful tour! The temples were amazing, the guides were knowledgeable, and the driver was very friendly. The bonus is that you also get to see the scenery of rural India. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves history or just wants to get out of the city for a day.

				Wonderful day to admire masterpiece Quite far more than 3 hours from central Bengaluru, but because of our good guide and comfortable transport made the trip really enjoyable. The temple is the real jewel of architecture and art of Southern India that no wonder it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Too many beautiful details to admire which must need guide to explain to understand the meanings and it’s significance.

				Exciting Day Trip from Bengaluru I had a great trip with Mohan to visit these temples and also make a quick stop along the Cauvery river. The temples are historic and the guides provided great information about the design and religious significance. This is a nice day trip out of Bengaluru and I'd recommend to any history lover. Mohan was able to provide information based on my interests and make the tour extra special.

				2 day tour around Mysore I took a 2 day tour of the temples and Mysore and it was fantastic. My driver, Mohan, was really attentive and very accommodating to any extra requests. We had a separate guide at every different location, ensuring a good understanding of the history. I will really recommend it
