A special day in Madurai! Kasinathan Bose is an exceptional guide! He took us on a tour of Madurai’s architectural wonders, such as the colourful Meenakshi Amman Temple and the majestic Tirumalai Nayak Palace. He then took us to see the city’s vibrant fruit and vegetable markets, and in particular the banana market, which is definitely worth a visit. We then went to the village of Vilacheri, where many families make beautiful clay dolls. Kasinathan is a very knowledgeable and competent guide, but above all, he is incredibly kind! His warm smile made us feel right at home and made our day in Madurai even more special!

Great one day trip of Rameshwaram We enjoyed our day trip to Rameshwaram . Our guide Meenakshi was excellent . He is enthusiastic/knowledgeable and is able to cover the religious, historical and architectural aspects of the temples very well. He planned the temple visit times/sequence such that wait times are minimum . We liked the tour a lot as it combines Temple visits and hindu religious activity with some great views of the sea and a view of the famous Pamban Bridge. Thanks to Meenakshi for a great day..

Enchanting walk in Madurai The madurai morning walking tour was magical. We had an amazing visit to the Meenakshi temple which was mesmerising. Then we visited a colorful bazaar where the banana market was enchanting! This is a fun way to understand Madurai.

Excellent Day in Madurai We really enjoyed our tour with Meenakshi.. We also went to Nayak palace, Banana Market, Potters Village, Thepakulam and Gandhi Museam. In summary it was a day well spent and we felt we got a good feel for Madurai - its people and culture .. A very enjoyable and informative tour of the onion, banana and coconut markets and temples of Madurai. We had a very enjoyable 3 hour tour of the markets and temples of Madurai. Our tour guide Mani was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

Great walk in Madurai We really enjoyed our walk with Five Senses guide Muthu. We received very clear information about where to meet our guide well ahead of the walk from the team at 5 Senses. Muthu was friendly and knowledgeable and answered a lot of questions for us about everything we saw. This is a great way to get orientated in the centre of Madurai and uncover some of the working life of the daily markets and how they work - things one wouldn’t know or notice just walking past without a local guide. Great walking tour We did a great morning tour with Guide Muthu. He was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting info about Madurai’ history and culture. We really enjoyed walking through the markets with Muthu pointing out the details of how it all works from change providers to wholesalers bargaining with their customers. Great tour and tour guide Minakshi Sundaram was a great tour guide and very accommodating to my 80yr old grandma. He was very friendly and passionate about the history he shared with us. Good English as well. The tour was great.
